Literature Text

Lay your head,
On my chest.

Drink the love,
In my breath.

Passed between us,
On our lips.

Not even Death,
Kept us apart.

Now we're here,
Trying to find,
Just where to start,
To make it back
To where we left off.

I can't remember where
We left off.

I found you,
In the middle of,
Finding me.

One look,
One smile,
To reach your eyes,
Was all I needed.

There was nothing I
Could possibly disguise,
'Cause you would see me.

And everything we had.

Do you remember me?
Please tell me,
That you remember me...

I know we cried,
So can we make
The tears,
Worth their falling?

Words to hit the page.

And I am calling
Out your name,
Loving every second,
That you're awake,
Even though you can't
Be next to me.

Every life with you,
Is worth the wait.

Kiss the heart,
In my chest,
Every beat that I
Have left,
Is a rhythm played
For you.

And when it stops,
I hope it's obvious
That skipping beats,
Is all that I can do,
When you have your arms
Around me.

Every day that you're
Alive...
     ...You make me better.
Yep.
